The Ministry of Transport, Communications, and Information Technology would like to inform all government institutions in the Sultanate of Oman that the Microsoft software licensing agreement for government institutions has been renewed with Microsoft for a period of three years until June 2024. In this regard, the ministry would like to emphasize the necessity of adhering to the terms outlined in the agreement as per the provisions mentioned in this circular, taking into consideration what was stated in Royal Decree No. (45/2003), issued on 28th of Rabi' al-Thani, 1424 AH, corresponding to 8th May 2003, regarding the protection of copyright and related rights, and the use of licenses and software accordingly.
