1st Day

The Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology in Oman, in cooperation with Novaspace, announced the second Middle East Space Conference to be held in Muscat from 26–28 January 2026 under the patronage of His Highness Sayyid Dr. Kamil bin Fahd bin Mahmoud Al Said. Building on the success of the first edition, the conference is expected to attract over 450 senior decision-makers from more than 190 entities across 20+ countries. It will bring together government leaders, space agencies, industry executives, investors, innovators, and academic institutions. The event aims to shape the next phase of growth for the Middle East’s space ecosystem. It will also enhance regional and international cooperation by accelerating partnerships, investment flows, and sustainable space capabilities. An accompanying exhibition will feature government bodies and local and international private sector companies in the space industry.

2nd Day

The second day of the second Middle East Space Conference, hosted by Oman at the Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre, witnessed strong international participation with over 500 experts and leaders from 30 countries and 85 specialized speakers. Discussions maintained a high knowledge-driven momentum through sessions focused on translating space strategies into practical applications supporting communications, security, energy, and geospatial data. Specialized sessions explored advances in satellite communications, digital inclusion, and reliable connectivity for vital sectors such as oil and gas. Other sessions highlighted defense and security applications, Earth observation, and the role of geospatial data in decision-making, planning, and sustainable development across the GCC. The day also saw the signing of two agreements, including partnerships in Earth observation, remote sensing, and CubeSat design and manufacturing. Activities concluded by showcasing real-world satellite applications in the energy sector and the role of geospatial data in improving efficiency and sustainability.

3rd Day

The Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology concluded the Middle East Space Conference 2026 in Muscat after three days of high-level discussions featuring 17 panel sessions, 15 keynote speeches, and 85 speakers. The conference highlighted major advancements in the regional space sector, including the launch of a national CubeSat development and assembly program and the 12th meeting of the Arab Space Cooperation Group hosted in Muscat for the first time. Five strategic agreements were signed, most notably the Artemis Agreement with the United States, alongside partnerships in satellite communications, Earth observation, and capacity building. Participants emphasized the need to develop a flexible legislative and regulatory framework to support investment and sustainable growth in the space sector. The event witnessed a significant expansion in participating partners and companies, described as a qualitative leap compared to previous editions. Overall, the conference reinforced Oman’s growing role as a regional hub for space sciences, technology, and international cooperation.
