The expansion of Sultan Thuwaini bin Said Road has been completed with the aim of increasing the road’s capacity to accommodate the growing traffic. The project involved adding the third and fourth lanes from Rusayl Bridge to Bidbid Interchange, with a total length of 27 kilometers.

The works included:

• Rehabilitation of pavement layers.

• Widening of existing bridges.

• Construction of new bridges, flyovers, and pedestrian bridges.

• Implementation in line with road safety standards.
