IT Governance Policy

The IT Governance Policy aims to establish a regulatory framework to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of IT management within government entities, based on international standards such as COBIT and in alignment with Oman Vision 2040.
The IT Governance Policy provides a comprehensive framework to ensure optimal use of IT resources, enhance transparency and accountability in decision-making, and align IT outcomes with institutional goals.It outlines core governance principles, roles and responsibilities across entities, performance evaluation mechanisms, and adopts COBIT 5 as a key reference model.The policy seeks to ensure service continuity, strengthen cybersecurity, and promote integration of digital transformation projects across government sectors, in full alignment with the strategic objectives of Oman Vision 2040.
