The opening of the LEAP 2025 event with the participation of around 18 countries and 1,800 exhibitors. The Oman Pavilion includes 46 government and private technology companies.

We are witnessing increasing international interest in Oman as a promising hub for digital investment.

Today, the fourth edition of the "LEAP 2025" exhibition and conference kicked off in the Saudi capital, Riyadh, with the participation of around 18 countries, 1,800 exhibitors, 630 emerging tech companies, and more than 1,000 speakers from various countries around the world. This prominent tech event in the Middle East will run from February 9 to 12, 2025, under the theme "Towards New Horizons."


The Ministry of Transport, Communications, and Information Technology is organizing the Sultanate of Oman's pavilion at the LEAP exhibition and conference this year for the third consecutive time. The pavilion includes 46 private and government technology companies. This year, the Ministry of Commerce, Industry, and Investment Promotion is represented by the "Invest Easily" platform, along with 9 government companies, including Oman Telecommunications Company (Omantel) and the Oman Group for Telecommunications and Information Technology (Idkhar). Additionally, 37 emerging Omani technology companies are participating with the aim of supporting the reach of their products and services to regional and global markets and promoting digital investment opportunities in the Sultanate of Oman.

Signing agreements

Oman's participation in this year's LEAP conference witnesses the signing of several agreements and memoranda of understanding between Omani tech startups and international companies and institutions. The inaugural day saw the signing of an agreement worth an estimated 0 million between the Global Semiconductor and Microelectronics Company (GSME), established in Oman in an Omani-international partnership, and the Saudi company e-Photonics to collaborate in the fields of semiconductors, electronics, and 3D computer vision solutions. The collaboration will include knowledge exchange, joint research and development, and quality and reliability in developing advanced joint solutions in the semiconductor field.

During his patronage of the opening ceremony of the Sultanate of Oman's pavilion at the LEAP 2025 exhibition and conference, His Excellency Dr. Ali bin Amer Al-Shehhi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Transport, Communications, and Information Technology for Communications and Information Technology, stated that the Sultanate of Oman's pavilion was inaugurated at the conference. He said, "The Sultanate of Oman's pavilion at the LEAP 2025 exhibition and conference reflects a comprehensive system for both the public and private sectors to support the entry of emerging Omani tech companies into regional and global markets and to enhance the digital economy. We all participate as government institutions, government tech companies, and emerging tech companies with a unified vision, shared common goals, and a single message: to connect the world by attracting digital investments to Oman or by enhancing the reach of Omani companies' tech products and solutions to international markets."

His Excellency Dr. Ali Al-Shidhani added: The Omani participation amid this prominent international presence of major global technology companies and tech leaders from around the world highlights the Sultanate of Oman and its opportunities and advantages in digital investment. In this participation, we focus on several investment opportunities such as establishing and operating companies specialized in advanced semiconductor chip design, and establishing a factory for producing raw materials for the semiconductor industry, as this industry has become the core of the global technological revolution, and the Sultanate of Oman possesses the essential raw materials required for this industry. We also focus on showcasing the competitive advantages available in the Sultanate of Oman for establishing data centers, which have become the main pillar of the artificial intelligence and advanced technologies revolution. We are also witnessing increasing international interest in Oman as a promising hub for digital investment in the space sector, cybersecurity, and artificial intelligence.

Sultanate of Oman Pavilion

The Sultanate of Oman’s pavilion includes a platform for the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology, under which around twenty tech startups have fixed stations to display their services, in addition to seven visiting tech startups attending the exhibition. The Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion is also present through the “Invest Easy” platform. The Oman Information and Communications Technology Group “ITHCA” is also participating with a display platform, in addition to display platforms for four tech startups it has invested in: Onsor, GSME, Osus, and Mubasher, along with Rahal and Frontech companies. The Oman Telecommunications Company “Omantel” is participating with three platforms in the pavilion: the Omantel platform, the “Infoline” platform specializing in user experience, and the “Tadoom” platform specializing in smart cities and the Internet of Things. Ten tech startups emerging from Omantel’s innovation labs are also participating.

The participation of the Sultanate of Oman in the “LEAP 2025” conference is a strategic step that reflects its direction toward strengthening the digital economy and opening new horizons for cooperation with global companies. This participation also represents an ideal platform for exchanging ideas and visions, exploring the latest trends in the world of technology, and allowing companies the opportunity to showcase their innovative solutions and exchange expertise.
