In recent years, the Sultanate of Oman has charted an ambitious path toward transitioning to a knowledge-based economy and achieving a digital Oman society. This has been pursued through the development of the National Strategy for Digital Oman Society and eGovernment, which encompasses all areas related to the realization of a digital society and its components — starting with building human capacities, developing the necessary infrastructure, and implementing the eGovernment approach, and culminating in building trust and establishing the frameworks and regulations governing this direction.
