The event included an introductory presentation about the platform and the key milestones it has gone thru. The platform's features and advantages, which help support startups and connect them with business opportunities, were also showcased. The Oman Startup Platform, "Oasis," serves as a space to connect startups in the Sultanate, where startups meet supporting entities, investors, consultants, and entrepreneurs to communicate, collaborate, and exchange knowledge and experiences about the entrepreneurship ecosystem. The platform also provides supporters and advocates with a comprehensive view of the entire ecosystem, the startups and their needs, and a timeline of related events and activities.

The platform's objectives are to develop the business ecosystem in the Sultanate, connect startups with supporting entities, market these startups, and unify efforts and initiatives regarding the development of the startup ecosystem. It currently includes more than 170 registered startups, over 85 investment rounds, 54 mentors, and more than 47 supporting entities.

It is worth mentioning that the Oman Startup Platform was launched by one of the former companies of the Oman Investment Authority (IDO) in 2018. Currently, the Ministry of Transport, Communications, and Information Technology oversees the platform, having contracted Al Jabr Mena to restart and develop the platform's content, while the company that developed the website (icoms) continues to provide technical and artistic services on the platform.
