The profile of telecommunications and information technology companies

The Technology Industry Development Department under the Technical Indicators Division has overseen the creation of a platform that lists all active Omani companies in the information and communications technology sector. With the aim of stimulating the business sector, a platform has been created to list all active Omani companies in the information technology sector.
Objectives:
- Facilitating access to active Omani tech companies by government entities, businesses, and the general public.
- Assisting in collecting accurate data on information and communication technology companies for reporting and analysis.
- Creating a database for companies, enabling them to update their services and products, in addition to promoting their projects.
- Contributing to achieving the following key performance indicators for the ministry:

Increasing the contribution to the national GDP (4% from information and communicationtechnology)

Creating 7,500 income-generating opportunities

Enhancing the growth of Omani startups specialising in information and communication technology.
