The project to develop the video game industry in the Sultanate of Oman aims to build a promising sector that contributes to diversifying the digital economy by supporting local talent, encouraging startups, and attracting investments in game development and related technologies.

Work on the project began with the development of initial concepts and a study of the sector's needs and future opportunities. It will be implemented according to a phased timeline that includes establishing and building capacity, followed by launching supporting initiatives and programs, ultimately enabling Omani companies and talents to produce marketable digital games both locally and globally. This will enhance the Sultanate's position as an emerging hub for creative and technological industries.
