National Digital Forensics Lab
Impact: Tech Leadership
In 2016, Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology inaugurated the National Digital Forensic Lab under the auspices of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tariq Al Said in attendance of a number of Their Excellencies and government low enforcement representatives.
Establishing the national digital forensic laboratory comes from the need to interpret and analyze electronic data to ensue and help detect cybercrimes to provide courts with the accurate evidence. This lab will provide training for officers and low enforcement entities to ensure having qualified experts in cybercrime to help in presenting criminals to justice especially in cases related to the Information and Communications Technology (ICT).
