Discussions also covered barriers to strengthening local content and empowering technology start-ups, particularly in projects, tenders, procurement and investments in the communications and information technology sector. These efforts aim to increase the participation of Omani companies, expand their market opportunities and maximize the economic value generated locally. In this context, the Ministry is implementing the ICT Sector Local Content Stimulation Programme under the Digital Industry Programme. It aims to increase the integration of Omani goods and services into the supply chains and procurement processes of institutions and companies, support sustainable employment for Omani talent, and enable local companies to grow and expand. These efforts contribute to building a competitive national technology sector and achieving digital economy targets.
