Saudi Delegation Visits Sohar, Duqm and Salalah Ports to Enhance Logistics and Investment Cooperation Between the Two Countries

A delegation from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, headed by H.E. Dr. Rumaih bin Mohammed Al Rumaih, Vice Minister of Transport and Logistic Services, paid a field visit to the ports of Sohar, Duqm and Salalah to learn about the operational and logistics capabilities of Omani ports and explore opportunities for cooperation and investment in the transport and logistics sector between the two brotherly countries.
The delegation was accompanied during the visit by H.E. Eng. Khamis bin Mohammed Al Shammakhi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology for Transport. The delegation was briefed on the infrastructure, facilities and services provided by Omani ports, as well as their role in supporting trade flows and enhancing the efficiency of supply chains and logistics connectivity between regional and international markets.
The two sides also held joint meetings during which they reviewed areas of cooperation in port management and operations and logistics services, as well as the exchange of expertise and experiences. They also reviewed available investment opportunities and the potential to develop joint partnerships that contribute to strengthening logistics integration between the Sultanate of Oman and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The visit comes within the framework of the brotherly relations and strategic partnership between the two countries and their keenness to expand economic and investment cooperation, thereby supporting the growth of the logistics sectors and strengthening economic integration between them.
