Fourth Edition of Logistics Best Practice Award Launched for 2027

The Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology, represented by the Oman Logistics Centre, in cooperation with the Oman Logistics Association, has launched the fourth edition of the Logistics Best Practice Award for 2027, aimed at promoting innovation and sustainability while enhancing the efficiency and competitiveness of the logistics sector in the Sultanate of Oman. The Award aims to encourage institutions and companies operating in the logistics sector to showcase and share best practices, experiences and innovative solutions, contributing to the development of logistics operations and services, improving operational efficiency and strengthening the sector’s competitiveness, while also supporting small and medium enterprises (SMEs) operating in the sector. 

The Award is open to companies and organizations operating across various logistics activities, including warehousing and storage, shipping line and vessel agencies, air, sea and land transport, customs clearance, ports and free zones, ground handling and freight forwarding. The Award comprises five main categories: Omanisation, Health and Safety, Net Zero, Continuous Improvement and Innovation, and Omani Products and Services. These categories reflect the priorities associated with developing the logistics sector and enhancing its sustainability and competitiveness.

The Omanisation category recognizes initiatives and practices that contribute to increasing Omanisation rates and creating employment and training opportunities for Omani professionals in the logistics sector. The Health and Safety category focuses on reducing accidents and risks while promoting a culture of occupational safety. The Net Zero category focuses on reducing emissions and promoting environmental sustainability, while the Continuous Improvement and Innovation category highlights the use of technologies and innovative solutions to improve efficiency and productivity. The Omani Products and Services category seeks to encourage the use of locally produced goods and services and support local content. Applications will be accepted until 30 January 2027 through the Award’s official website, www.logistics-bpa.com. The results will be announced on Logistics Day.
