The Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology (MTCIT) organised an exploratory visit to the Singapore Week of Innovation and Technology (SWITCH 2026), accompanied by a delegation comprising six Omani technology companies and start-ups affiliated with the “Numo” Programme, one of the programmes under SAS for Digital Innovation. The visit aims to explore business and investment opportunities in the Singaporean market, establish international partnerships, and enhance opportunities for exporting Omani technology products, services and solutions to global markets. The exhibition runs until 29 October, bringing together leading technology companies, investors, entrepreneurs and innovation-supporting organisations from around the world. The visit focuses on enabling Omani technology companies to access international markets, strengthening their engagement with investors and potential partners, and exploring opportunities for business expansion and digital exports. It also provides an opportunity to learn about the latest global technologies and innovations and gain insights into leading experiences and practices in supporting start-ups and developing the innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem.

As part of the exhibition programme, Omani company “InstaSpace” will participate in a panel discussion entitled “Made in Oman, Going Global: The Founder's Journey”, highlighting Omani entrepreneurs' experiences in developing innovative technology solutions, expanding into global markets and competing internationally. The session will showcase the potential of Omani technology companies and their ability to deliver competitive solutions and access international markets. This visit forms part of the Ministry's ongoing efforts to promote digital exports and empower Omani technology companies and start-ups to expand and grow through the “Numo” Programme, which falls under SAS for Digital Innovation. The programme aims to support technology companies in their growth phase, strengthen their competitiveness, develop their business models, and create opportunities for them to establish partnerships and access regional and international markets.

Through this visit, MTCIT also seeks to assess the feasibility of participating in future editions of the exhibition with a dedicated Omani pavilion for technology companies and start-ups. This would strengthen the international presence of Omani technology products and services, open up new horizons for digital exports, and support the expansion of Omani companies into global markets, thereby contributing to the growth of Oman's digital economy.
