Telecommunications Regulation Law

The Telecommunications Regulation Law represents the main legal framework that governs the telecommunications sector in the Sultanate, in addition to defining the roles and responsibilities of the entities related to the telecommunications sector.
The law also aims to:
- Regulate and develop the telecommunications sector
- Support universal service within the framework of providing telecommunications services
- Encourage competition among licensees in providing telecommunications services
- Create an environment that ensures the provision and development of telecommunications services and the telecommunications sector
