This consultation comes as part of the efforts of the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology to enhance community participation in developing the electric vehicle charging ecosystem in the Sultanate of Oman, in support of the national direction toward sustainable mobility and clean energy. The consultation aims to gather public opinions on the proposed tariff ranges for electric vehicle charging at public and semi-public charging stations, in a way that helps achieve a balance between the sustainability and quality of services provided while also considering consumer interests.

This consultation also builds on previous efforts that focused on developing and expanding the EV charging infrastructure. Through this initiative, the Ministry seeks to benefit from the views of users and the wider community to support informed decision-making and enhance the overall experience of electric vehicle usage in Oman.
