Cybercrime Combat Law

In line with the enormous information and technological revolution witnessed by the Sultanate, and in response to the accompanying challenges arising from the spread of cybercrime, the Cybercrime Combat Law was issued pursuant to Royal Decree No. 12/2011. The law aims to achieve the necessary deterrence with regard to cybercrimes involving the violation of data and information systems and the misuse of information technology means.
