National Space Program Achievements 2023-2025

The space sector in the Sultanate of Oman is witnessing rapid development as one of the key enablers of the digital economy, supporting economic diversification and national capacity building, in alignment with the objectives of Oman Vision 2040. This report documents the projects, initiatives, and achievements realized during 2025 in the Omani space sector, led by the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology through the National Space Program, in partnership with government entities, the private sector, and academic institutions.
During the year, significant progress was made in developing the sector’s foundational infrastructure, building national capabilities, strengthening international partnerships, advancing the legislative and regulatory framework, and attracting investments related to space applications and services.
These achievements represent an important step toward establishing the Sultanate of Oman as an active partner in the global space ecosystem and as a regional gateway for space applications and services that support sustainable development.
The Ministry will continue, in collaboration with its partners, to implement the objectives of the National Space Policy, accelerate knowledge and technology transfer, and enhance private sector participation, thereby supporting the development of a sustainable national space economy.
