Oman Participates in the 137th Session of the IMO Council

Oman participated in the 137th Session of the Council of the International Maritime Organization (IMO), held in London, United Kingdom, with an official delegation led by H.E. Eng. Khamis bin Mohammed Al Shammakhi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology for Transport. The delegation included representatives from a number of military and civilian entities involved in the maritime sector.
Oman's participation reflects its continued active role within the International Maritime Organization and underscores its commitment to advancing maritime safety and security, safeguarding international shipping lanes, and strengthening international cooperation to ensure the uninterrupted flow of global trade and the sustainable development of maritime transport.
