Oman Achieves Advanced Results in the Logistics Performance Index (LPI 2.0) 2025

Ranks First Globally in Export Supply Chain Initiation and First in the GCC for B2B Postal Delivery Time..
The Sultanate of Oman has achieved advanced global and regional rankings across a number of indicators in the Logistics Performance Index (LPI 2.0) 2025, issued by the World Bank, reflecting the efficiency of its logistics ecosystem and competitiveness in maritime transport and postal services. The results further strengthen Oman’s position as a global logistics hub.
Maritime Transport Indicators
Oman ranked first globally in the “Export Supply Chain Initiation” indicator, recording an outstanding time of just 0.8 days. This achievement reflects the efficiency of the Sultanate’s logistics system and the speed of its trade procedures.
The Sultanate also ranked ninth globally among 165 countries in the “Import Supply Chain Completion” indicator, reflecting the efficiency of import operations and the smooth movement of goods.
At the GCC level, Oman ranked second in the “Export Container Dwell Time at Port” indicator and third in the “Direct Shipping Services” indicator.
In the “Number of Shipping Alliances” indicator, Oman ranked 25th globally among 169 countries and second in the GCC. Oman also ranked 39th globally and third in the GCC in the “Number of Direct Maritime Connectivity Partners” indicator.
Postal Services Indicators
In the postal services sector, Oman ranked 16th globally among 190 countries and first in the GCC in the “Business-to-Business (B2B) Postal Delivery Time” indicator.
This advanced performance reflects the Sultanate’s ongoing efforts to develop the logistics sector through enhancing infrastructure, expanding port networks and maritime and postal services, and improving operational efficiency.

The Logistics Performance Index (LPI 2.0) is a global benchmark issued by the World Bank to assess the efficiency of supply chains and trade across countries. The index is based on three key dimensions: connectivity, speed and reliability.
