Date Published: 02 August 2026
Registration remains open until 17 August
The Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology, represented by the National Centre for Information Safety, has announced the opening of registration for the third edition of the Hadatha for Excellence Initiative in the Cybersecurity Industry 2026. The initiative forms part of the Ministry’s ongoing efforts to build a specialized national cybersecurity industry, develop Omani talent, and foster a culture of innovation, creativity and excellence in this vital sector.
The annual initiative reflects the National Centre for
Information Safety’s vision of advancing the cybersecurity ecosystem in the
Sultanate of Oman through investment in human capital and the promotion of
high-quality initiatives and projects. These efforts contribute to
strengthening cybersecurity as one of the fundamental pillars of digital
transformation and sustainable development.
The National Centre for Information Safety stated that
registration will remain open until 17 August, inviting cybersecurity
professionals, specialists and innovators to register and participate across
the initiative’s various categories.
The Centre also noted that the third edition introduces a comprehensive enhancement to the initiative’s structure, drawing on an assessment and analysis of the outcomes of the previous two editions. The enhancements are designed to maximize the initiative’s impact and broaden participation in line with the evolving needs of the cybersecurity sector at both the national and international levels. The updated structure includes a reorganization of the main categories and the introduction of new subcategories, including scientific research, digital content creation, and freelancing, enabling a wider range of initiatives, projects and innovative ideas to participate while further promoting competitiveness and excellence across the cybersecurity industry.
The Hadatha for Excellence Initiative is one of the National Centre for Information Safety’s flagship national initiatives aimed at supporting the cybersecurity industry by identifying national talent, encouraging innovation, empowering skilled professionals, and contributing to the development of a more resilient and sustainable national cybersecurity ecosystem.
