The agreements included memoranda of understanding (MoUs) and cooperation agreements between government institutions, local enterprises—particularly small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs)—and international companies. These cover projects and services in areas such as artificial intelligence, sustainable energy for data centers, digital solutions, and cybersecurity services, among other advanced technological domains.

His Excellency Dr. Ali bin Amer Al Shidhani, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology for Communications and Information Technology, highlighted that the significant growth in the total value of agreements this year reflects the strong interest of both local and international investors in the Sultanate’s digital sector. He emphasized the exhibition’s role as a leading platform for fostering partnerships and collaboration between the public and private sectors.

His Excellency further noted that these results strengthen Oman’s position as an attractive destination for technology investments and strategic partnerships, reaffirming the Ministry’s commitment to supporting digital innovation, developing advanced digital infrastructure, enhancing national capabilities, and creating an enabling environment for local and international companies. These efforts contribute directly to advancing Oman’s digital transformation journey and achieving the objectives of Oman Vision 2040, centered on building a sustainable digital economy.

He added that the agreements will boost the digital economy’s contribution to GDP, accelerate the pace of digital transformation across the Sultanate, and serve as a cornerstone for building an integrated digital ecosystem attractive to global investments. This, in turn, will open new avenues for business growth and create high-quality jobs in this vital sector.

COMEX 2025 also recorded unprecedented participation and engagement, with the number of visitors exceeding 90,000—a 10% increase compared to last year. The exhibition hosted more than 140 tech startups, alongside over 200 government and private entities, as well as international delegations specialized in technology and digital transformation.

The event featured more than 80 workshops with the participation of over 70 speakers, and witnessed the launch of more than 40 new products, innovations, and services. The exhibition also attracted wide media coverage, with contributions from more than 40 local and international media outlets.
