A virtual meeting was held this morning to review the strategy and overall framework for measuring Ejada under the National Digital Transformation Programme for the period 2026–2030. The meeting was chaired by H.E. Dr Ali bin Amer Al Shidhani, Undersecretary for Communications and Information Technology at the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology, with the participation of Their Excellencies from government entities targeted under the programme. The meeting reviewed the key dimensions of Ejada measurement within the programme. Foremost among these was the Leadership and Digital Readiness dimension, which focuses on enhancing entities’ ability to drive digital transformation strategically through a clear vision, effective governance, and the integration of technical and human capabilities, alongside fostering a digital culture and ensuring sustainable investment.

The meeting also addressed the Digital Operational Excellence and Efficiency dimension, which focuses on transforming processes and services into highly efficient digital models that reduce waste and enhance performance quality. This is achieved through automation, process optimization, data utilization, and improved user experience. In addition, the Impact and Sustainable Value dimension was highlighted, aiming to measure the tangible outcomes of digital transformation at the national, institutional, and beneficiary levels by delivering sustainable financial, operational, strategic, and societal value, supported by measurable performance indicators.


In addition, the Impact and Sustainable Value dimension was highlighted, aiming to measure the tangible outcomes of digital transformation at the national, institutional, and beneficiary levels by delivering sustainable financial, operational, strategic, and societal value, supported by measurable performance indicators. The meeting also touched on the National Digital Transformation Strategy (2026–2030), which aims to enhance user experience in digital services, leverage artificial intelligence, strengthen beneficiary engagement and trust in government digital services, empower national talent, support data-driven decision-making, maximize the impact of digital governance, and accelerate digital transformation across priority economic sectors identified in the Eleventh Five-Year Plan. This will be achieved through the adoption of advanced technologies, the promotion of innovation and digital development as a sustainable institutional approach within the government sector, and the reinforcement of Oman’s global position in the digital economy as a key driver of sustainable growth.


The meeting also included discussions on the Professional Services Initiative for Enabling Digital Transformation, along with the presentation of various perspectives and proposals through an open discussion, contributing to the achievement of programme objectives and enhancing the readiness of government entities for digital transformation.
