The launch of the 13th Regional Cybersecurity Week in the Kingdom of Morocco.

With the participation of more than 1,500 participants from over 50 countries, the 13th Regional Cybersecurity Week for 2025 kicked off in the Moroccan capital, Rabat. The event is organized by the Regional Center for Cybersecurity in partnership with the General Directorate for Information Systems Security of the National Defense Administration in the Kingdom of Morocco, in collaboration with the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), the Forum of Incident Response and Security Teams (FIRST), and the Cybersecurity Centers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC-CERT).
The organization of this prominent regional event comes within the framework of enhancing international cooperation and exchanging expertise among Arab and Islamic countries in the field of cybersecurity, sharing best practices, and discussing mechanisms to mitigate digital risks and coordinate joint efforts to address the growing challenges in cyberspace.
The Regional Cybersecurity Week extends from September 15 to 19, 2025, including a series of conferences, seminars, and field exercises that bring together a select group of experts, officials, and decision-makers in the field of cybersecurity from various countries and regional and international organizations.
Events of the 2025 Regional Cybersecurity Week:
The 13th Regional Cybersecurity Conference
It is held under the slogan "Digital Sovereignty for Sustainable Economic Development" and aims to showcase the best strategies in the cybersecurity and innovation industry at both the Arab and international levels. The conference also discusses the importance of digital sovereignty as a pillar for sustainable development, its role in stimulating innovation and developing digital infrastructure, and encouraging investments in the fields of artificial intelligence and information and communication technology.
The "first" organization seminar and the 17th annual conference of the OIC-CERT cybersecurity centers
This seminar provides a platform for dialog between experts and officials in Africa and the Arab region to discuss policies and strategies related to addressing cyber threats. The (OIC-CERT) conference also aims to enhance cooperation and information exchange among cybersecurity centers in Islamic countries, and to develop technical and administrative capabilities in the field of security incident response.
Meeting of the Board of Directors of the National Cybersecurity Centers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation
The council's annual meeting is held to discuss priorities and joint initiatives within the 2025 action plan, including enhancing the cybersecurity industry, innovation, and expanding cooperation with international organizations.
The Thirteenth Regional Cybersecurity Exercise
It is organized under the title "Using Artificial Intelligence Technologies in Cyber Defense Plans," and aims to enhance the readiness of National Computer Emergency Response Teams (CERTs) in Arab, Islamic, and African countries by conducting a virtual exercise to simulate cyber attacks and assess coordination and response capabilities.
