Preparatory for the launch of the "Semiconductor Summit".. MTCIT holds an Omani-Chinese workshop

Today, the Ministry of Transport, Communications, and Information Technology held an extensive workshop that brought together senior officials from the Chinese side, as part of the preparations for the launch of the Global Semiconductor Executives Summit scheduled for tomorrow.

The meeting was attended by His Excellency Dr. Ali bin Amer Al-Shaidhani, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Transport, Communications, and Information Technology for Communications and Information Technology, along with several specialists and stakeholders in the field. The participants discussed ways to enhance cooperation and unify efforts between the two parties, supporting the Sultanate of Oman's goals in developing the semiconductor sector and strengthening its position in global supply chains.

The workshop contributed to opening comprehensive discussions with Chinese partners and exploring potential collaboration opportunities with companies specialized in chip manufacturing, advanced packaging, equipment supply, as well as investment institutions and integrated circuit design companies.
