The award aims to highlight innovative initiatives and projects that directly and practically contribute to reducing carbon emissions in the transportation and logistics sector, improving energy efficiency, and developing the infrastructure for electric vehicles and smart solutions in the Sultanate of Oman, in line with the targets of Oman Vision 2040. All submitted projects underwent a thorough and comprehensive technical evaluation conducted by a specialised and independent judging panel, which included a selection of experts and academics. This evaluation was based on four main criteria: contribution to achieving carbon neutrality, innovation and excellence, scalability and applicability, and sustainable positive impact on society. To ensure the governance of the award and its precise direction towards the transport sector, the focus was placed on projects with a direct impact on the mobility system, the development of alternative fuel types, and the reduction of reliance on traditional fuels. It is worth noting that the award has seen an increased number of participants this year compared to last year, reflecting the growing interest in sustainable initiatives and green mobility solutions in the Sultanate of Oman.
