Sultan Turki bin Said Dual Carriageway – Phase 2 Opening (Al Kamil & Al Wafi to Sur)

The Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology today opened traffic on a new section of the Sultan Turki bin Said Dual Carriageway Project (Phase Two – Second Section), extending from Wilayat Al Kamil and Al Wafi to Wilayat Sur, with a total length of 9 kilometres.
The opened section starts from Al Fulaij area, passing through Wadi Bridge and the Al Fulaij vehicle tunnel, then through Qassah area, ending at Al Rafsah area in Wilayat Sur.
The road consists of three traffic lanes in each direction, each lane measuring 3.75 metres in width, in addition to external asphalt shoulders with a width of 2.5 metres and internal shoulders measuring 1.5 metres.
The road has been equipped with all required traffic safety features, including steel safety barriers, guidance and warning signs, as well as the protection of road edges and tunnels, enhancing safety for all road users.
