The Information Technology Authority (ITA) in Oman is working to transform the country into a sustainable knowledge society by activating information and communication technology, enhancing e-government services, enriching the business sector, and enabling individuals to engage digitally. In 2017, the ITA achieved significant accomplishments, such as developing e-government services, strengthening cybersecurity, developing community capabilities and individual skills, developing next-generation infrastructure, promoting knowledge awareness, and operational excellence.
