The Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology’s 2021 Annual Report outlines key efforts to strengthen Oman’s transport, logistics, communications, and digital ecosystems while laying foundations for long-term transformation. During the year, the ministry advanced port and maritime performance, improved transport operations, and supported logistics efficiency despite global supply-chain challenges, while also expanding telecommunications infrastructure, broadband coverage, and mobile services nationwide. The report highlights major progress in digital transformation through the launch of the Government Digital Transformation Roadmap (2021–2025), support for ICT startups and innovation via incubators and accelerators, and extensive cybersecurity initiatives, capacity-building programs, and regional and international cooperation. Collectively, these achievements reflect Oman’s commitment in 2021 to enhancing service quality, building digital resilience, empowering national talent, and progressing toward a diversified, knowledge-based economy aligned with national development priorities.
