The Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology’s 2023 Annual Report highlights a year of significant progress aligned with Oman Vision 2040, focusing on infrastructure development, digital transformation, logistics growth, and sustainability. Key achievements include major road and transport projects across several governorates, the attraction of approximately OMR 1.6 billion in logistics investments, improved port performance, and initiatives supporting carbon neutrality through clean transport solutions. In the digital domain, the ministry advanced e-government services by digitizing and simplifying hundreds of services, expanding national digital platforms, strengthening cybersecurity capabilities, and investing in future technologies such as artificial intelligence, space programs, and semiconductor design led by Omani engineers. The report also emphasizes human capital development through national digital skills programs, regulatory and legislative advancements, and strong public–private collaboration, reinforcing Oman’s transition toward a diversified, knowledge-based, and digitally enabled economy.
